In the summer of 2007, Mound Time formed its own team to give access to premium coaching and to prepare them to play at the next level. The team consists of 13-14 year olds who participate in Mound Time's baseball instruction. We have been fortunate to work with this great class of players who will go on to represent their respective high schools in the Portland area. Mound Time competes against JBO, Babe Ruth, freshman high school teams, and other travel teams from around the state. This season Mound Time finished its 60 game schedule and 90% of the team went on to be selected for post season teams. The boys joined up to represent the Portland area and went on to win the Oregon State title in The Dalles for 13 year old Babe Ruth. The team went on to regionals and finished 2-2 and took 5th in the Pacific Northwest Region.. Mound Time offers a unique coaching staff in which every coach played through college and some into professional baseball. At season’s end, we will graduate six 8th graders to high school.
